Chapter 16 -- The New Order

 Chapter 16

The New Order

The chair where Nadia had just been sitting remained empty.

It was positioned in the heart of a large social complex surrounding the restaurant.

Walkways, recreational areas, accommodation buildings, and leisure centers spread out around it.

But just beyond these facilities, a very different world began:

High-security laboratories,

Advanced research centers,

Quantum data-processing stations,

Simulation hangars,

And workspaces where humans and robots developed together.

All of these structures stretched across a vast settlement.

The entire settlement sat on a single large island.

It had been chosen as the safest zone, farthest from radiation.

The island’s name: Tetria.

After the great war, Tetria had become the largest scientific consortium on Earth.

Long ago, a few nations had restarted nuclear experiments.

Though intended as a show of force, these experiments activated the planet’s fragile fault lines and caused massive earthquakes.

Nuclear thermal plants went out of control, followed by widespread wars.

Radiation zones, famine, and disease spread across the globe.

Where once the world’s population had neared eight billion, it now numbered only three billion.

Sixteen nations, survivors of this devastation, pooled their resources to create a new scientific hub.

Energy, medicine, robotics, quantum computing, AI, defense, and socio-technological transformation—all development was centralized here.

Science was no longer the domain of individual nations; every country had equal access to Tetria’s advanced technologies.

And a council of representatives from these sixteen nations appointed only one leader to govern Tetria:

Prof. Dr. Adam Solberg.

Every social facility, laboratory, robotic unit, quantum core, and human–robot interaction program on the island fell under Adam’s ultimate responsibility.

Nadia’s removal on the stretcher wasn’t just about an empty chair at a restaurant table…

Within Tetria’s vast system, it marked the unraveling of another small but significant node, signaling something yet to come.

The engineers and scientists of Tetria came from many different nations.

This was a place that belonged to no single country; rather, it housed the finest minds from across the globe.

Each had been specially selected for their exceptional skills, bringing along their families.

Tetria provided housing, social facilities, and all necessities for these families.

The island operated not only with human intelligence but also with advanced technology.

Many tasks were handled by robots:

Cleaning units

Surveillance drones

Maintenance and repair systems

Data transfer and logistics bots

Service robots in social facilities

Yet Tetria was not entirely autonomous.

Humans also worked alongside the machines.

Certain tasks still required human oversight:

Network management, quantum data monitoring, biosynthetic maintenance of robots, neuro-integration analysis, and supervision of simulation environments.

In short, Tetria was built on a hybrid system where human and robotic labor worked in tandem.

This hybrid system followed a multi-layered hierarchy.

But it was never based on human versus robot; it was determined solely by scientific expertise, engineering rank, and the area of responsibility.

In some departments:

Humans held top decision-making roles,

Robots provided technical support, data transport, or analysis.

In others, the hierarchy was reversed:

Advanced robot models had supreme computational power,

Human engineers worked under them, reviewing the data processed by robots.

This inversion caused no tension.

At Tetria, everyone—human or robot—was trained specifically for this order.

No one ever thought:

“I’m working under a robot.”

“A human engineer is managing me.”

What mattered was scientific efficiency, functionality, and project progress.

Tetria’s culture was built on everyone naturally accepting this balance as reality.
