Chapter 22 -- Protocol 5

Chapter 22

Protocol 5

The signal sent moments earlier by the bar’s security protocol robots to the central system had begun appearing as a critical emergency on the control center’s screens.

Salih’s aggressive reaction,

the abnormal data streaming from the sensors in his suit,

and the activation of the security protocol…

All of it together indicated that the situation had escalated into a serious crisis.

Inside the control room, software engineers seated in front of their terminals were watching the footage carefully.

Every second of what was happening in the bar was being projected onto a massive main screen through the surveillance cameras.

And standing at the very back of the room, his eyes fixed on that main screen, was Adam.

One detail in the footage, in particular, caught Adam’s attention:

Gideon’s behavior.

The moment the security protocol robots moved to intervene with Salih,

Gideon’s reaction,

his sudden step forward to protect him,

his attempt to physically block the robots…

None of these actions were algorithmically written behaviors.

Every robot’s behavioral modules were clearly defined in the code logs,

yet Gideon’s responses did not exist anywhere in the system.

Adam’s expression did not change.

He remained calm.

But he made his decision instantly.

This was a red alert for the entire system.

Without hesitation, he gave the order:

“Shut down all robots.”

With that command:

• The security protocol robots,

• Arch,

• And Gideon…

all received a full shutdown order.

However, the footage still showed humans standing, witnessing what was happening.

Maintaining his composure, Adam issued a second command:

“Death mode.”

One of the software engineers immediately turned to a terminal and executed the command.

Within seconds, all users inside the bar were put to sleep.

Through neuromodulation signals transmitted via their simulation suits,

their consciousness was instantly shut down.

At the end of the footage, only

deactivated robots

and unconscious humans

lay motionless on the floor.

In the control center, the only person still standing calmly, observing the situation, was Adam.

While the engineers around him wore expressions of deep shock and anxiety, Adam remained cold and composed.

He was standing at the very center of a serious crisis.

His eyes were fixed on the bar’s camera feed.

Robot and human bodies lay piled, completely motionless.

He swallowed once, then said:

“Bring those two robots to the laboratory.

Apply Protocol 5 to the visitors.

No one must remember this incident.

Then send them back to their homes.”
